Last weekend I went to a Ceilidh, or Irish dance with a few friends. It was so much fun learning traditional Irish dances. To spice things up they had everyone dress like cowboys and cowgirls. Here are a few pictures from that night.
That looks like so much fun. Just a couple months ago, this huge Scottish festival came to Memphis where I attend college and a bunch of friends and I got these lessons in traditional Scottish dancing. It was so much fun and I'd totally love to learn how to do Irish dancing too. I wonder how similar they are! It's also really interesting to hear that your dance had a name to it, ours was just 'traditional Scottish dancing'. I'm not gonna lie, I feel a little cheated out of a proper noun! Happy Dancing!
